Privacy policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This policy explains what Grouper Studio ("we", "us") collects when you visit https://www.grouper.studio or use the Grouper Studio app, why we collect it, who processes it for us and the choices you have. Questions go to support@grouper.studio.
What we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address and profile image, and the sign-in method you choose (email and password, or Google). Accounts are managed by our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Project content. What you give Grouper Studio to work from: product website URLs, the pages we fetch from them, repositories you choose to connect from GitHub, brand details, your messages to the agent, and everything the agent creates for you, such as strategies, scripts, copy, images and videos.
- Connected accounts. If you connect GitHub or Instagram, we store the access token that provider issues so Grouper Studio can act within the permissions you granted. You can disconnect at any time.
- Billing information. Your plan, credit balance and purchase history. Card details are entered with and held by our payment processor, Dodo Payments. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage and analytics. Only if you accept analytics cookies on the consent banner, we record how the site and app are used (pages visited, features used, device and browser type) with PostHog and Google Analytics. If you decline, those tools are not loaded.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, request time and error details, to run and secure the service.
How we use it
We use this information to provide the service you signed up for: to analyse your product, generate and store your marketing content, process payments and apply your plan's limits, contact you about your account or the service, prevent abuse, fix problems and, with your consent, understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your project content to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
We rely on these service providers, each limited to what it needs to do its job:
- Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Cloudflare R2 (file storage), Upstash (queues and rate limiting), and Vercel Sandbox, Daytona and Modal (isolated environments that render videos).
- Authentication: Clerk.
- AI models: Anthropic, Google (Gemini), DeepSeek and the Vercel AI Gateway. Your prompts and project content are sent to these providers to generate responses, under their terms for business API use.
- Payments: Dodo Payments, acting as merchant of record.
- Email: Resend, for service email.
- Analytics, only with consent: PostHog and Google Analytics.
- Integrations you choose to connect: GitHub and Instagram (Meta).
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them, and you can change your mind by clearing the site's stored choice in your browser.
How long we keep it
Account and project data are kept while your account is open. When you delete your account from the account menu, your account is removed from our authentication provider and your projects, chats and generated content are deleted from our database. Stored files, such as rendered videos and images, are deleted when you delete the project they belong to, so delete your projects first or email us and we will remove any files that remain. We keep records we are required to keep, such as invoices, to meet legal or tax obligations. Backups and logs expire on their normal schedules.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email support@grouper.studio with "Privacy request" in the subject and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Grouper Studio is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
